Beyond the Iron Curtain / ELEMENT
Exhibition Name: 'Beyond the Iron Curtain / ELEMENT'
Location: Farm Cultural Park; Favara, Italy
During her residency Nana Zaalishvili devised ‘element' furniture. After two weeks of work, the Farm Cultural Park exhibited Element furniture for the first time that had been made in local workshops: a complex wooden bench, a simple wooden side table, and two chairs made of travertine stone.
The exhibition was inspired by and dedicated to the Georgian architect Giorgi Chakhava’s invention “Construction element". Photos from Chakhava's personal archive were presented at the exposition space depicting his prolific work "behind the Iron Curtain".
