‘BRICK’ FLOOR LAMP

Material: Walnut, Aluminum
Measurements: L30xW30xH160 cm

Elegantly sculpted from Georgian solid walnut and aluminum, the ‘Brick’ Floor Lamp is a testament to the raw beauty of nature and the craftsmanship. The interplay between the warmth of walnut and the ethereal sheen of aluminum elevates the delicate flow of light bringing warmth and tranquility to any space. The sculptor begins by taming solid walnut trunks sourced from the Georgian regions. Using traditional woodworking techniques logs are carefully shaped, textured and assembled into an interlocking composition, preserving organic imperfections of the material. The aluminum bowls are also hand textured using melting and scratching methods. The ‘Brick’ Floor Lamp is a sculptural statement – a lighting piece that embodies modern elegance, balancing weight and airiness, tradition and modernity.

Shape of the ‘Brick’ marks the first attempt by Idaaf Architects to develop a new building material. While the process of selecting its textures is ongoing, we have used its form to create a variety of decorative elements for interior spaces.
