Idaaf architects is a multidisciplinary studio based in tbilisi, founded in 2016 by architect nana zaalishvili. The studio works across architecture, interior design and collectible furniture with a strong focus on craftsmanship and cultural storytelling. Drawing from georgia’s vernacular architecture and rural heritage, the designs reinterpret traditional forms through a contemporary, sculptural approach.
Alongside architectural projects of various scales and functions, the studio also develops small, sculptural architectural works – primarily individual houses shaped by ways of living, spatial clarity and a careful response to site and environment. Rooted deeply in its context, every project reflects a thoughtful process of research, design and making. The studio collaborates with skilled artisans to shape designs that highlight natural beauty and evoke a quiet, timeless presence. Through its projects, idaaf seeks to reveal the hidden beauty of georgian culture – connecting past and present, material and memory, tradition and innovation.
